Bomb Monkey was playable at PAX East and here's the first offscreen footage of the game in action. Though you don't see too much of the actual game, considering the fun the guys in the video have playing it, Bomb Monkey looks like another winner for Renegade Kid.
At Capcom's Captivate 2012 event, Capcom showed an epic new trailer of Resident Evil 6. While the game has only been confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, we're betting that a Wii U version will be unveiled at E3 2012. This might be pure conjecture at this point, but it would seem that Nintendo would want such an announcement to be made during E3 to ensure maximum exposure on their new console.
Guild 01, developed by Level 5, features four very different games and each is featured in its own dedicated commercial. Check out the commercials of each of Guild 01's games; Liberation Girl, Rental Weapon Shop, Aero Porter and Crimson Shroud, below.
Nintendo has released the official launch trailer of Pandora's Tower, which is set for release on April 13th in Europe. The following trailer features English language and Dutch subtitles. Will you be getting the game?
During the Easter weekend we celebrated Arnold's Hatchday and hid various Bomb Eggs across our site (along with some duds). By finding all of the eggs you were able to form a word, which described something that Arnold likes and if you tweeted the word in an original sentence regarding Arnold, you could win a set of 12 Kid Icarus: Uprising AR card packs!
Fire Emblem: Awakening's first DLC will be available when the game is released in Japan on April 19th. This DLC contains Marth, whom you'll unlock by clearing a map after which he can become a member of your party.
The Marth DLC will be free from April 19th to May 31st. Afterwards he'll be available for 300 yen.
Despite many rumors stating otherwise, it appears that Epic Mickey 2 is not coming to the Wii U according to the game's producer himself, Warren Spector. He is fascinated by the potential of the console's controller though.
Square Enix will be releasing yet another special 3DS system in Japan. This one has a Dragon Quest Monsters theme and includes the remake of the Gameboy classic Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D. Here's a picture of the never-to-be-released-in-the-West 3DS bundle's box:
If a source close to website Forget The Box is to be believed, the Wii U console's manufacturing costs, which includes the controller, are estimated to be about $180. That same source also states that the console will not retail for less than $300 (or €300 in Europe).
The next issie of CoroCoro magazine is said to contain lots of information on Pokémon Black & White 2 and coincides with the airing of the Pokémon Black & White 2 trailer on Pokémon Smash next Sunday.
According to a Japanese retailer, Pokémon Black & White 2 will launch in Japan on June 23rd. We already knew the games were set for a June release, so this isn't a stretch at all. Serebii.net also points out that, unlike Western retailers, Japanese retailers seldom put up a "placeholder releasedate" for games, making it all the more likely that the June 23rd releasedate is real.
In related news, the next episode of Pokémon Smash, airing on April 15th, is said to feature the first trailer and footage of the games, so expect to see the trailer as soon as we get our hands on it here on MPN.
Nintendo has registered a few new domain names last week, one of which caught our eye as it's a link to www.supermario4.com. If you click on the link, it will link back to the Nintendo website of your country, but could this mean a fourth entry in the Super Mario Bros. series is coming?
Ubisoft also showed footage of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online at PAX East. While, as with Assassin's Creed III, the footage isn't of the Wii U version of the game, this gives an indication of the Wii U game.
Nintendo was present at PAX East last weekend with many playable demos showing off upcoming 3DS games such as Spirit Camera: the Cursed Memoir and Mario Tennis Open. The latter is featured in a few offscreen videos taken at the show.
Ubisoft showed Assassin's Creed III in action at PAX East 2012 last weekend as proven by these in-game screenshots. While these screens aren't of the Wii U version, they should give you an idea of what to expect.
Joel McHale, currently starring in the extremely funny tv-series Community as Jeff Winger, has teamed up with Nintendo of America to do a Nintendo 3DS commercial. Only it is not.

As our good StreetPass friends Joshua Lynsen and Jordan White are readying themselves for their StreetPass Panel over at PAX East, we're kicking off the prologue of our season 2 storyline "StreetPass World Tour".
In a few short moments, we'll be kicking off the second season of MPN comics as the StreetPass World Tour officially begins! But before we start, here's a quick recap of the events leading up to StreetPass World Tour in a handy infographic.
After a few weeks of retweeting on Twitter, we managed to get over 300 followers, which meant we could give away five Kid Icarus: Uprising AR card 24-packs to a few lucky followers.
We've sent out a DM to the winners of the AR card packs and want to congratulate each of you with your prize. Unfortunately we had to disappoint the majority of our followers, but we still have a few 6-packs to give away!
Our cast member Arnold turns 1 year old this weekend (since it's Easter) and to celebrate his "Hatchday" he's giving away 5x2 6-packs of Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards. For the rules, check out the Contest page right here!
We want to thank each and every one of our visitors/followers for their efforts and support! Hopefully you'll love us even if you didn't win anything.
Nintendo has a great presence at PAX East 2012 in Boston and is heavily promoting titles such as Kid Icarus: Uprising, Spirit Camera: the Cursed Memoir, Mario Tennis Open and of course the highly anticipated 3DS title; Heroes of Ruin. There's even a real-life Pit handing out Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards! Check out the pictures below!
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance features a few new Disney worlds, one of which is the "Tron: Legacy" world. If you're curious as to what to expect from this new world, here's a nice summary of what you'll encounter.
Spirit Camera: the Cursed Memoir will be available for Nintendo 3DS in North America next week. While we already know the game is quite scary, you should check out this "hidden camera" footage showing just how scary the game (or someone bursting into a room) can be:
Nintendo surprised everyone by announcing that Pokémon Conquest (known in Japan as Pokémon X Nobunaga's Ambition) would be coming to North America, a title that many figured would never see the light of day outside of Japan. If you're still a bit unsure of what to expect from the Nintendo DS title, here's a fact sheet that should help you out!
Xenoblade Chronicles is finally available in North America. In order to ensure you know what you're getting into with this amazing title, Nintendo is releasing "How to Play" videos. Today we have video nr. 2 and 3 for you. Check them out below:

The latest information on Mario Tennis Open reveals that you'll be able to play as your Mii and dress him or her up as Mario, Yoshi etc. Here are a few pieces of artwork showing off the Mario crew and Mii's in Mario costumes.
Epic Mickey 2: the Power of Two is looking great in this 10-minute video of the Wii version. The game might be months away from being released, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy this video right now! Take a look.
[UPDATE] Square Enix has been so kind to not only announce the releasedate of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy today, but also share the North American releasedate of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.
During the Kid Icarus: Uprising "how to play" videos that are included with the game, Lady Palutena briefly mentions "Super Bash Sisters" as the game that featured a certain move. Pit corrects her and states she means "Super Smash Bros.", but Palutena disagrees.
Ever since we heard of "Super Bash Sisters", we figured it would be a very fun edition of Super Smash Bros. Not to say this game should replace Super Smash Bros., but it could be a very fun extra mode. Maybe Masahiro Sakurai will work it in as a little wink and nod towards Palutena's mention.
We asked our visitors to vote if Super Bash Sisters should happen and the majority of the voters (73%) voted "yes".
It seems 27% of the voters are against the idea (boo!), though we have no clue as to why one would oppose a fun idea as Super Bash Sisters. Perhaps the fear of not getting a "proper" Smash Bros. game? Or does it sound too girly? Don't let Lady Palutena hear you!
In any case, why not share your views on "Super Bash Sisters" in the comments?
Kid Icarus: Uprising is an awesome game, one that you should not miss out on even if the control scheme will take a bit to get used to. It is hardly as game-breaking as people would have you believe and you'll miss out on one hell of a game if you don't at least try the game for yourself.
Remember that mystery title that's being developed for Nintendo 3DS by Capcom, SEGA and Namco Bandai? It seems we'll know everything in about one week as the game's website has entered into a final countdown mode with the pitri dishes we saw in earlier updates having been stolen.
NintenDomination has recorded nearly 50 minutes of gameplay footage of Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, which is out in Europe as of today. If you're on the fence about this 3DS title, why not check out the video?
The official Japanese website of Project Zero 2: Wii Edition has opened and can be viewed here. If you're interested in some gameplay footage and the creepy game's intro, look no further than below.
Sonic co-creator Hirokazu Yasuhara has assumed a new role at Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington according to Gamasutra.
While this new role is still shrouded in mystery, both Nintendo and Yasuhara have confirmed the move.
Interesting bit of news, whatever could Yasuhara be doing at Nintendo?

This week has had quite a few rumors regarding the Wii U's power. First the system is up to par with the Xbox 360 and PS3, then the system is said to be more powerful and then we have a few new rumors saying the system is just barely the equivalent of the current-gen systems.
Among the four DLC songs that were made available for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy in Japan today, is a song called "Somnus" of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Here's an offscreen video of the song being played on "Ultimate" difficulty:
Gon Paku Paku Paku Paku Adventure gets a Japanese commercial that looks very cute and has a catchy song that might get stuck in your head. No gameplay footage is shown, but it's fun to look at nonetheless.
Aliens: Colonial Marines features a robust multi-player mode alongside its stunning single-player mode. GameTrailers has uploaded footage of the multi-player and we have the video here.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is looking really good in these screenshots. The greatest news about this is that the Wii U version will be the prettiest version according to developer Gearbox. Don't take our word for it though, check out the screenshots for yourself!
