With the release of Kodi 18 Leia on December 8th, we will begin to see the first sign of genuine Kodi add-ons. This is the first build of Kodi that does not cut off after the first 30 days and still allows add-ons to be updated. This is the first build of Kodi that is not made by the Kodi Foundation. It is also the first build that has been released by the developers of the Kodi app “The Grind”.
Welcome to The Grind Kodi Build – Fire TV Guru Returns. I am back at it again, publishing another Build for the best streaming media player on the market today. The Fire TV Guru Kodi build has become one of the best Kodi builds we are featuring on our website and is one of the top Kodi builds making its way to the top of the charts. However, with a few Kodi Builds, it seems that they always end up getting taken down. This is where I come in. I started compiling a Kodi Build for the Fire TV Guru and have decided that it is better to leave it up than down. I have now upgraded the build and it is now more stable, has better builds and better addons. So, check out the Fire
In this tutorial I will show you how to install the grind build on Kodi. The Grind build works on all compatible devices, including Amazon FireStick (2nd generation and 4K) and Fire TV Cube, Mac, Windows and Linux computers, mobile devices running Android and iOS, Android TVs and more.
The Kodi Grind build is a welcome addition to our collection of the best builds for Kodi. This version comes from the same developers who brought us the once popular Fire TV Guru (FTG). So you can expect a similar experience with new construction. I’m even calling The Grind the return of Fire TV Guru.
Grind is a medium sized build that contains less than 350 MB of data after installation. That’s why it works smoothly even on devices with little memory, like FireSticks and Android TVs.
This is a version with streaming support and a lot of pre-installed Kodi add-ons like 7 or 9, Venom, Limitless, etc.

How do I install Grind Build on Kodi
To install this version, you must first allow unknown sources. This way you can install all Kodi builds and third party add-ons.
Attention KODI users: please read before continuing
Kodi addons / modules offer unlimited streaming content, but can also get you in legal trouble if you get caught watching movies / TV shows / sports for free. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect a VPN when streaming online. A good Kodi VPN can hide your identity, bypass government surveillance, block content, and ISP throttling (which also contributes to buffer-free streaming).
I use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device, including the Amazon FireStick. Get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plans. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Before you start streaming video with Kodi addons or modules, I want to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and the government. This means that streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, live broadcasts and sports) can lead to legal problems.
Fortunately, there is a reliable way to hide all your streaming activities from your ISP and the government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN masks your original IP address and helps you bypass surveillance, ISPs and geographical restrictions on content.
Personally, I use and recommend ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all types of applications and streaming devices.
OPINION: We do not encourage copyright infringement. But what if you accidentally upload content from an illegal source? It is not always easy to distinguish between a legal and an illegal source.
So before you start streaming on Kodi, read here how to get VPN protection in 3 easy steps.
Step one: Purchase your ExpressVPN subscription HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This means you can use it for free for the first 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the service (which is unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step two: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN application on your streaming device. If you are using a FireStick, I have included the exact steps below, starting with step 4.
Step three: Click on the power icon to connect to the VPN server. That’s it. Now your connection is secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
The steps to install Kodi VPN on Fire TV devices are described below. If you have other broadcast devices, follow steps 1 to 3 above.
Step four: Sign up for ExpressVPN HERE (if you are not already a subscriber).
Step 5: Go to the Fire TV Stick home screen. Click the Search button and then the Search option (see figure below).
Step six: Type expressvpn into the search bar and select when it appears.
Seventh step: Click on the Download button.
Step 8: Open the ExpressVPN application and log in using the username and password you created when you purchased your ExpressVPN subscription.
Step 9: Click on the power icon to connect to the VPN server. That’s it. Now your FireStick is protected with the fastest VPN.
How to use Grind Build on Kodi
Now that you have the Grind Kodi version installed, let’s take a look at it.
Like I said, open the Kodi app and the build will load.
When you launch Grind or any other version of Kodi for the first time, it performs several updates within minutes. Just let the manufacturer do all the updates. This may take 6-7 minutes (or more). The build will only work properly after a full update.
This is the startup screen for the Kodi Grind version.
The layout of the building is fairly standard. You have the main menu and the submenu layout found in many constructions.
When you select an option from the main menu, the corresponding options are displayed in the submenu. If you select an option related to streaming, for example. B. TV programs, see the corresponding additions in the submenu. Trendy, current and recommended titles are displayed at the top of the screen.
These are the main menus:
- television program
- The Jamz
- Cut out
To explore the different add-ons that are pre-installed in the Grind version, select Add-ons from the menu and Video Add-ons from the submenu.
Here are some popular add-ons that come with this version:
- 7 of 9
- Sockets V2
- cCloud TV
- Exodus Redux
- Cinema Butter
- The magic dragon
- Sportowa TV
You can use the Kodi version of Grind now.
The Kodi Grind Build seems like a decent option that will let you experience Kodi in a whole new way. This build was relatively new when I wrote this guide. It was developed by the same people who created Fire TV Guru. Give it a try!
